Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew
Brought on-board for only a very short period, we set out to support the game’s final push towards its multi-platform launch. This meant drawing upon our rich experience around the Unity Game Engine Ecosystem and seamlessly integrating into Mimimi’s sophisticated strategy game infrastructure built on top of it.
We lent the team a hand in these areas:
- Identifying and fixing cross-platform shader compatibility issues with water rendering
- Extending third-party plug-ins with console platform support
- Investigating optimization avenues for reducing interface & job scheduling overhead
- Determining favorable code paths within on Unity’s internal systems to facilitate decision-making regarding higher-level optimization work
- Command buffer concatenation to reduce execution overhead
